The Garden Baskets was first published in the Farmhouse Quilts book “The Kitchen Hearth” in 2002. This quilt combines so many things I love: baskets, scrap fabrics, embroidery, and little bits of wool applique. It’s colorful and happy, traditional quilting with a little bit of whimsy!
The kit includes Liberty Homestead’s hand dyed cotton in Straw for the background and Shade Tree for the narrow borders. Also included is a wonderful, colorful collection of assorted prints for the baskets, hand dyed wool for the flowers, and Green, Dark Gold, and Tan DMC embroidery floss. Does not include backing.
