Down Home Country Christmas

This is a wonderful Christmas book featuring a wide variety of projects done in flannels and wool. The cover quilt, measuring 39" x 54", uses both Christmas and non-Christmas flannels in Reds, Greens, & Tans. The holly leaves and berries are done in wool applique. The pieced strips mix together flannel squares, pieced Log Cabins, and Eight-Pointed Star blocks. There are six other wall quilts, ranging in size from 24" x 30" to 10" x 10", along with an Ohio Star vertical banner measuring 12" x 34". In addition to these, there are many small projects which lend themselves to your Christmas gift-giving plans. The several pillow designs range from all pieced to pieced & wool applique to all wool. The little Christmas tree is shown decorated with quick & easy wool ornaments. The wool banner features four applique blocks, including a Christmas tree decorated with your favorite buttons. And stockings! Along with the mini-wool stockings there are two different pieced Log Cabin block stockings with wool applique tops. Whenever I do a quilt show, these are the two pieces that grab everyone's attention! And to finish things up, there are even gift-wrapping ideas - a flannel gift bag with a wool applique angel, and stenciled paper bags & brown paper gift wrapping tied up with flannel bows & wool ornaments to later use as tree decorations.
