Take Along Quilts
Whenever I exhibit at a quilt show, I hear the same thing from quilters everywhere - "There is never enough time!" When it comes to our quilting, time always seems to be in short supply. Because of this, we need to find a way to maximize the time we do have, especially those odd moments when we're on the go.
That's what "Take Along Quilts" is all about. This book features 24 projects designed to travel with us, to take advantage of our "down time" spent waiting in doctor's offices, ball practices, or just getting from here to there. For the larger projects, you can take along small sections at a time. Some of the smaller pieces can be made start to finish, all on the go. And to make sure you have everything you need with you, there's even a pretty travel set you can make to carry your threads & needles in. (Of course, you'll be making this set on the run, also!)
Projects in this book include a 33" x 45" wall hanging (made in small sections), a patriotic flag banner, a yo-yo flower basket wall quilt, and many small hangings, table toppers, and pillows. Techniques include piecing, applique, yo-yo's, and wool and wool felt applique.
